Website Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 26, 2026 · Version: website-privacy-v1
Who we are and what this notice covers
ComfrtZone LLC, based in Virginia, United States, operates Discomfrt and discomfrt.com. Contact support@discomfrt.com for website questions, privacy, withdrawal or removal requests.
This notice covers our public landing page, waitlist and related correspondence. The page introduces a product in development. It does not currently provide app accounts, private journals, community posting, subscriptions or AI assistance. Proposed screens and features do not mean these services are available through this website. Any future app or interactive web experience will have notices appropriate to its actual features before collecting information through them.
Information we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and your submitted email choices and acknowledgements, together with submission records such as the response identifier and time. We use Tally to collect and store responses. Submission notifications are also delivered to our business email, so relevant signup information can exist both in Tally and in our email systems.
If you contact us, we receive the address and information you include in the message. Please do not send passwords, identity documents, private journal entries or unnecessary sensitive information.
Website, security, form and email providers may process ordinary connection and delivery information, such as IP addresses, browser/device information, request times and delivery status, to operate and protect their services. Visiting the page connects your browser to our hosting infrastructure and the embedded Tally form. You do not have to submit the form for those connections to occur.
How we use information
We use waitlist information to manage your signup, send the early-access invitations, launch news and occasional Discomfrt product updates you requested, maintain your choices, and handle withdrawal or removal requests. Joining the waitlist does not create an app account or guarantee an invitation, availability date or place in a testing program.
We also use information to answer correspondence, maintain reliable delivery, protect the website, address misuse and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not enroll you in unrelated marketing based solely on this signup.
Who handles information
Tally processes form responses on our behalf. Our business-email service handles notifications and correspondence. Our website is published through OpenAI Sites and uses Cloudflare hosting/security infrastructure. Authorized personnel and service providers may access information only as needed for the described operation, communications, support and security purposes, subject to appropriate restrictions. These categories do not authorize sending your information to arbitrary recipients or using it for unrelated purposes.
We may disclose information when legally required, to protect lawful rights or safety, or as part of a lawful company transaction with appropriate safeguards and required notice. A company transaction does not permit us to ignore your unsubscribe choice or sell/transfer suppressed addresses contrary to applicable law. We do not sell waitlist information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We operate in the United States, and service providers may process information in other countries. Tally states that its form data is stored in Europe; email delivery and related provider operations can involve other locations. We do not promise that every copy stays in one country. Where applicable law requires additional transfer safeguards, we must establish them for the relevant processing.
Cookies, tracking and external links
Our landing-page code does not include advertising pixels, behavioral analytics or session replay. We do not use it to track your activity across unrelated websites, and browser Do Not Track signals do not trigger a separate response in our custom page code. Hosting/security and embedded-form providers may use necessary technology to deliver and protect the page and form. We do not authorize these integrations to track you across unrelated services for our advertising.
If we introduce optional tracking, we will update our disclosures and provide any required choices before it runs. Any legally required opt-out signals apply to the processing they cover. External links, including Instagram and the standalone Tally form, take you to services with their own privacy practices.
How long we keep information
We keep waitlist information while it is needed to operate the waitlist and send the updates and invitations you requested. We review the list if launch plans change and do not keep it indefinitely for an abandoned purpose. If the waitlist ends, we will delete information no longer needed or ask for any permission needed for a different use.
You can withdraw at any time. We stop the covered email communications and remove information no longer needed from active waitlist records and relevant notification copies, subject to limited records needed to honor your withdrawal, comply with law, protect security or resolve a dispute. Where an email address or suppression record must be retained to prevent unwanted messages, it is restricted to that purpose. Unsubscribing does not require deleting unrelated business correspondence that has a separate legitimate purpose.
Provider recovery systems and backups may retain residual copies for their documented periods after deletion. We do not promise immediate removal from every backup. Retained copies must not be restored to the active mailing list contrary to your choice.
Your choices and requests
Use the unsubscribe link in our update emails, or email support@discomfrt.com to withdraw, request removal, ask what information we hold, correct your information, request a copy or raise a privacy concern. We may verify your request proportionately without asking for your password. We respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any permitted exception.
Depending on your location and the law applicable to our processing, you may have additional rights, such as withdrawal of consent, objection, restriction, portability, appeal or a complaint to a privacy regulator. Where consent is the applicable basis for email updates, withdrawing it does not make prior lawful processing unlawful. For other operations, any required legal basis depends on the purpose, such as legitimate interests in running a secure website and responding to requests, or compliance with law. We do not claim every jurisdiction’s privacy law applies or that a provider’s certification establishes our compliance.
Children, security and changes
This landing page and waitlist are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek their personal information. If you believe an ineligible child supplied information, contact support@discomfrt.com so we can investigate and remove it as required. This website notice does not establish eligibility for a future app or testing program.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We may update this notice as our practices change. The posted effective date identifies the version in use; we provide additional notice or seek permission when required for material changes.
