Website Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026 · Version: website-privacy-v2
This notice describes the website practices in effect on the date above. It does not create new permission for unrelated processing or change earlier email choices.
What the Discomfrt website collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Operator and scope
ComfrtZone LLC, based in Virginia, United States, operates Discomfrt and discomfrt.com. Contact support@discomfrt.com for website questions, privacy concerns, correction, withdrawal or removal requests.
This notice covers the public landing page, waitlist and related correspondence. It does not describe a launched app. This website does not offer app accounts, private journals, community posting, subscriptions or AI conversations. Proposed product screens and interactive image previews do not collect the writing or conversations depicted in them. We will provide notices appropriate to actual app processing before inviting people to use those services.
Information collected and why
Waitlist: your email address, submitted email choices and Terms acknowledgement, together with the form’s response identifier, submission time and other response metadata made available by the provider. Email is the only personal-information field we ask you to complete. Tally collects and stores the response; signup notifications are also delivered to our business email, so relevant signup information can exist in both systems.
Correspondence: the address and information you choose to include when contacting us. We use it to answer and manage your request. Please do not include passwords, identity documents, private journal entries or unnecessary sensitive information.
Technical and delivery information: hosting, security, form and email providers may process IP addresses, browser/device details, request times, security events and delivery status to run and protect their services. Visiting the page connects your browser to the host and embedded Tally form even if you never submit.
How information is used
We use waitlist information to administer signups, send the Discomfrt early-access invitations, launch news and occasional product updates you requested, maintain communication choices and acceptance records, and handle withdrawal or removal requests. Joining does not create an app account or guarantee an invitation.
We also use information to answer correspondence, protect the website, investigate misuse, manage delivery and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not enroll you in unrelated marketing, turn a signup into a paid service, or use waitlist submissions and private support correspondence to train AI. This website has no AI chat or automated decision determining admission to an app.
Where a law requires a legal basis, it depends on the purpose: your permission for requested marketing where required; legitimate interests in reliable operation, security and ordinary correspondence where available; and compliance with legal obligations where applicable. We do not claim a particular privacy statute applies to everyone.
Providers, disclosure and international processing
Tally processes form responses on our behalf. Business-email providers handle notifications, delivery and correspondence. The website is published through OpenAI Sites and uses Cloudflare hosting/security infrastructure. Authorized personnel and providers may handle information as needed for the described purposes, subject to appropriate restrictions. Provider involvement is not permission for unrelated use or arbitrary disclosure.
We do not sell waitlist personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect lawful rights or safety, or in a lawful company transaction with appropriate safeguards and required notice. A transaction does not cancel an unsubscribe choice or permit a prohibited transfer of suppressed addresses.
We operate in the United States. Providers can process information in other countries. Tally states that its form data is stored in Europe; notification delivery and related services can involve other locations. No promise is made that every copy remains in one country. We remain responsible for any international-transfer requirements that apply to our processing.
Cookies, storage and tracking
Our custom landing-page code contains no advertising pixel, behavioral analytics or session replay, and it does not save email drafts in localStorage or sessionStorage. The page’s Reduce motion choice is held in the current page, rather than a persistent marketing profile. Hosting, security and form providers may use their own necessary technology and operational telemetry.
Read Cookies & browser storage for the website-specific explanation. This notice does not claim that every provider sets no cookies or logs. We have not enabled cross-site advertising tracking through our custom code. If optional analytics or advertising is introduced, we will update the notice and provide any legally required choice before it runs.
Our custom code does not give Do Not Track a separate response. Any legally required opt-out signal applies to processing covered by that law. Links to Instagram and the standalone Tally form open services with their own privacy practices.
Retention, withdrawal and deletion
We keep waitlist information while it is needed to run the waitlist and send the updates you requested. We review the purpose when launch plans change and do not retain information indefinitely for an abandoned purpose. If the waitlist ends, we delete information no longer needed or obtain any permission needed for a different use.
You can withdraw at any time. We stop covered marketing and remove information no longer needed from active waitlist records and relevant notification copies, subject to limited records needed to honor withdrawal, meet legal obligations, protect security or resolve disputes. Restricted suppression records may be retained to prevent unwanted future messages. A lawful need to retain one record does not authorize keeping every copy for every purpose.
Unsubscribing does not require erasing separate correspondence with another legitimate purpose. Provider recovery systems and backups can retain residual copies for documented periods. We do not promise instant removal from every backup, and retained copies must not be restored to an active marketing list contrary to your choice. A deleted or expired record is not treated as continuing consent.
Your requests and choices
Use the unsubscribe method in our update emails or email support@discomfrt.com to withdraw permission, request removal, ask what information we hold, correct information, request a copy or raise a privacy concern. We may verify a request proportionately, without asking for your account password. We respond within applicable legal time limits and explain a lawful exception when necessary.
Depending on your location and the laws applicable to our processing, additional rights may include access, deletion, correction, portability, objection, restriction, appeal or complaint to a privacy regulator. You can ask us to review a privacy decision by replying to the response or contacting support. We do not condition a lawful request on accepting new terms or waiving a complaint. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.
Children and teenagers
The website waitlist is intended for people ages 13 and older in the United States and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal information. If you believe a child under 13 submitted information, contact support@discomfrt.com so we can investigate and remove it as required. Do not send a child’s information merely to make a report unless necessary for the request.
The waitlist does not verify age and does not grant eligibility for a future app or testing program. Any future app or testing program will explain its eligibility rules and any required guardian permissions before enrollment.
Security and updates
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved. No online transmission, mailbox or storage system is completely secure. Do not send confidential or sensitive material that the waitlist does not require. Concerns about suspected website misuse can be reported to support@discomfrt.com. Support correspondence is not an emergency service.
We identify the version and effective date when a notice is published and preserve prior published versions. If practices materially change, we provide additional notice or obtain permission when required. A revised notice does not retroactively create permission for an unrelated use or authorize processing before it is disclosed.
